You will get wet!

Did You Know? Wildwater Rafting is hosting their 4th Annual “Raft for the Cure” on Saturday, August 28th. The trip down the Ocoee starts at 2 p.m. with a reception at 6 p.m. in honor of breast cancer survivors. For more information, contact Jan Beck at (423) 496-2557 or to make reservations call the reservations office at 800-451-9972. The money raised goes to the Susan G. Komen Chattanooga affiliate.

Did you know? Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested more than $1.2 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.

In fact, the Ocoee has been rated one of the ten best whitewater rivers in the country by Canoe Magazine.
