You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream
Sometimes you just got to have some…so today we stopped by Clumpies Ice Cream Company on the North Shore just a short walk down from the Walnut Street Bridge. Clumpies is a nice diversion when visiting downtown Chattanooga anytime of the year.
from the website: “Opened in 1999 by the son of a third generation candy maker, Clumpies Ice Cream Co. continues the Chattanooga tradition of creating products noted for their uniqueness and quality. This premium gourmet ice cream is made with only the best ingredients that can be found.
Every flavor is made in batches of ten gallons at a time. If you like ice cream, don’t miss a chance to sample this indulgent treat!”
Clumpies is perfectly located on the North Shore and you can either sit in the front window looking out on Frazier Avenue and watch the people as they pass by or relax on the back deck overlooking Coolidge Park. The shop is a fun ice cream parlor with tin ceilings, exposed brick, pine floors and the smell of waffle cones in the air.
Because the ice cream is made in small batches there is always a special flavor on the board. The frozen treat is sold by the ounce so beware when asking for that extra “heavy” scoop. I have included a coupon below that rewards you for going with a friend!
When visiting Chattanooga put Clumpies on your list of things to do and please mention ChattanoogaAndBeyond.com.
